- Students are required to source an ad from one of the following mediums: Seek.com, My Career, The Age Newspaper or Local Papers.
- This ad must be of interest to them however not necessarily suited to their age group. A copy of the ad must be bought along to the interview.
- Students are required to research the company who is advertising the position to gain knowledge of their business. Students will be evaluated on this information gained from the research undertaken.
- Dress to Impress - Students are required to attend the interview in what they believe to be appropriate interview attire for their chosen industry. They are evaluated on their appearance.
- The interview runs for approx 10-15 minutes and each student will be graded throughout on the following areas: Presentation, Communication, Attitude, Body Language.
- Students will also be graded on the answers they provide during the interview. These will be reviewed and discussed at the end of the interview. The areas they performed well in will be highlighted and they will also be given some confidence boosting tips to utilize for the future. Each student receives a written report handed to the teaching staff.
- The purpose of the conducting these mock interviews is to ensure students appreciate the importance of preparation prior to attending an interview.

Our Work Placement Guidance Program is tailored to provide support and coaching to Students who are required to source a Work Placement as part of their assessment. This program runs for approx 3-5 sessions, dependant on class lengths and students numbers. We provide all Students with confidence and the life skills they require in obtaining rewarding employment.

Session 1 - Interview Presentation
This 60 minute Interview Presentation takes place a week prior to the interviews being conducted. We educate Students on the interview procedure and what is expected in the week to come.
